About

Therapy with me is a space to untangle what’s holding you back and build something solid and real. If you’re struggling to speak up at work, adjust to a new environment, or manage stress in your relationships, I bring both professional insight and lived experience to our work together. I’m here to listen, support, and help you move forward.

I’ve lived in different countries, changed careers more than once, and raised children while finding my own path. I know how disorienting and demanding change can be—and how meaningful it is to find clarity and strength along the way.

My clients often begin therapy feeling unsure, burdened, or stuck. Over time, many experience deep relief, greater confidence, and more ease in how they relate to themselves and others. They become braver, freer, and more connected.

I help people work through difficult and sometimes painful experiences. In therapy, I draw from different ways of understanding what’s going on—exploring your past, how your mind and body respond to stress, and how your current relationships are shaped by both.

In individual sessions, I listen closely and patiently to understand the full picture. I respond with care, using both knowledge and experience to support meaningful change. My approach is psychodynamic and trauma-informed, integrating elements of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS) where helpful.

As a couples therapist, I focus on helping you understand the deeper emotions that drive behavior in your relationship. Together, we’ll practice expressing those feelings more openly and listening more fully. My couples work is grounded in attachment and trauma theory, and informed by Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and psychodynamic thinking.

My ability to connect with people across cultural and language barriers comes from my diverse upbringing, living in multiple countries, and various careers. I speak English, Bulgarian, and understand Russian.

I have a background in business, with degrees in computer science and human-computer interaction. I worked for high-profile companies, focusing on ease of use, simplicity of design, productivity, and project management.

While my thinking mind was happily occupied at work, I felt a strong desire to return to my passion for human psychology. I completed a rigorous training at the Center for Training in Psychotherapy in Toronto and gained invaluable clinical experience spending hundreds of hours helping clients.
