Maybe you already have the support of friends or loved ones. That can help. But psychotherapists are trained to support you with an ear attuned to patterns, while being mindful of our own biases. We offer a unique perspective because we are not directly involved in your day-to-day life.
Working with a psychotherapist can lead to:
RELIEF – It is possible to feel better. And you do not have to do it alone.
TRUTH – Words have power. How we tell our story to ourselves and others matters. There are versions of truth. The act of putting an experience into words can be transformative, and in the process, your truth can emerge more fully.
CLARITY – The way we engage is driven by beliefs, memories, feelings, coping strategies, and even bodily sensations. But any of these can elude our awareness. With clarity about what motivates us and what holds us back, the next step comes into focus.
CHANGE – Sometimes when we make changes in ourselves — even small ones — the people around us and our relationships can begin to change as well.
RESILIENCE – The therapeutic space supports growth at your pace. Our capacity to tolerate difficult feelings can expand. Think: training wheels on the bike until you go out on the road balancing on your own. With growing resilience comes more choice to shape our own lives.

- There is a part of you who is okay – we make contact with this part
- We explore who you are and how you got here
- Most often, sessions begin with what is most pressing for you
- We learn about what is true for you
- We consider what is and is not serving you
- We consider what can and cannot be changed
- We explore what else might be possible
- We honour your strengths and find what works for you – your process is unique
- The work of therapy tends to be long-term as lasting change takes time
Together, we work toward wholeness and new ways of understanding the multifaceted human being that you are. With that knowledge comes genuine freedom to choose your own way from a more conscious, intentional, and grounded place.
A child of immigrants who came to Canada in 1969, I was born and raised in Toronto. My professional background includes over twenty-five years in public education; I have also trained as a yoga teacher and enjoy exploring health, wellness, and personal growth. A lifelong writer, I am fascinated by the transformational potential of our own creativity and wisdom.
I finally started my own therapy when I realized that I was the common denominator in all the things that were not going well in my life. My therapy journey has been simultaneously the hardest and most rewarding undertaking, both personally and professionally. I can’t directly pay back the people who have supported me along the way, but I can pay it forward.
