The act of engaging in psychotherapy is an act of hope that invites new possibilities to emerge within a framework of support and care.
Entering into a psychotherapeutic relationship can be profound, healing and meaningful.
Creating a space during which we focus on your needs and your journey allows us to take a holistic approach while we pay attention to your thoughts, words, feelings, physicality, sensory experiences, and voice – all aspects of how you experience life and express yourself. Whether you are seeking therapy during a time of crisis, or transition, or in response to a growing desire to reflect, our work together will help guide you as we gently search for and ask the most useful questions.
The practice of putting judgement aside and coaxing out the truth, your truth, is brave and takes courage. Together, we can make the space for your authentic self to breathe more deeply and approach all aspects of life with greater ease.

My therapeutic approach includes our collaborative focus on the relational and subjective aspects of your experiences. This entails a great deal of listening on my part and the offering of questions for us to further explore.
As we work, we will keep in mind the following: what words we use, the thoughts we create, our physiological responses, what/how we eat, how we rest, how we entertain ourselves, how we move, and how we breathe. Our connection to all of these things both instructs and mirrors how we relate to ourselves and those around us. Keeping body, mind, personal history, and the present day at the centre of our work offers us a rich selection of information from which we can identify what continues to be useful, what is no longer needed, and what it is you want as you mindfully create your life.
I do believe you carry much of what you need already within you, and together we will uncover what these things are and discover a deeper connection to your authentic self.
My own extensive journey through therapy has been profound. It is also what led to my desire to become a psychotherapist. My international background and experiences, along with my training in language, movement, performance, and voice are the basis of my holistic view about how the mind and body can teach, support, and struggle with each other.
My education as a psychotherapist is rooted in the Centre for Training in Psychotherapy, Toronto. This has given me a strong academic foundation and full immersion in various theories. The highly experiential elements of this training mean that I have spent a number of years on my own development, which allows me to respect and appreciate what it means to reach out, enter into, and stay the course in psychotherapy and self-development.
My hope is to help you find an internal alignment that will increase your sense of ease within yourself and in the world around you.
I have experience and special interests in the following:
Racialized experiences, racial identity, anger, parenting, sexuality within relationships, period of life transitions, caregivers support, bereavement, terminal illness, and end of life support.
I also have an interest in fertility, pregnancy loss, and birth and perinatal trauma. I have obtained additional training and certification in client support and treatment in this area.
