Socrates aptly stated that “the unexamined life is not worth living”. Our world offers bottomless distraction and stimulation to draw our attention away from personal distress; therapy offers us the opportunity to instead make real change.
Regardless of what brings you to therapy, finding a therapist that is a solid match for you is top priority as you embark on this very personal commitment and journey of growth. The therapeutic match is important because the impact of psychotherapy is rooted in a unique human connection that is built over time. This connection supports deep personal transformation and growth. To this process I bring compassion, life experience, attuned listening, and an ability to reflect nuanced observations.

My approach to therapy straddles both compassion and common sense. The repertoire of skills and experience I draw on are individualized as clients and couples with a wide variety of issues, needs, and aspirations. I am an attuned listener with acute observation skills. I respond thoughtfully to encourage an environment where my clients come to know that they can rely on me, trust me, and bring the whole of themselves into the therapeutic session. It is my responsibility to ensure that a safe space is created and available for you to accomplish your therapeutic goals.
Originally trained as an occupational therapist and subsequently in the psychodynamic approach to psychotherapy, I first practiced therapy in the 1990s for several years. I then launched and grew a disability management company that achieved international reach. During this time I gained a great deal of life experience in both the business world and my personal life. After selling my company, I returned to focus on my original passion – the practice of psychodynamic psychotherapy.
If you are seeking support around work-related stress, your financial life, the pressures of the corporate world and/or entrepreneurship, or you are struggling to find balance between work and home life, I am confident that I will bring a helpful understanding and an attuned ear. If your struggles are more relationship based or rooted in personal limitations such as self-esteem issues, I will bring a sensitivity and a fresh perspective. Through compassion and a deeper understanding of the issues, we can forge growth and self-acceptance.
I offer 50-minute digital sessions on a weekly basis. Couples sessions have a different structure and are worked out individually.
