Sitting down one-on-one with a therapist and being heard, seen, understood, and valued in a safe space can lead to healing. Therapy can support your recovery from trauma and other disturbances. It can facilitate self-discovery.  It can move you towards the person you want to be.

Imagine your true self, the authentic you. Free from all the burdens you’ve been carrying. It is possible to be that self again. Together we will uncover and work through whatever you need to, in order to live the life you want.

In our early experiences, we sometimes struggle and suffer and build defences to rely on. These adaptive behaviours help us cope. Later, these ways of being no longer serve us well. We want to free ourselves of them but find it too challenging. We often need help to move beyond what we’ve known.

Psychotherapy can facilitate lasting change by working with the limits of self-awareness. The style of therapy I practice includes exploring the unconscious mind. In this process of self-discovery you gain deeper understanding, shifting what’s been in the way of development and change. This mode of therapy encourages authenticity and fosters emotional freedom, guiding you towards meaningful personal growth.

I provide a caring, nonjudgmental environment where we can explore your thoughts, feelings, sensations, and beliefs at a pace that feels safe. I’ll listen deeply, and we’ll talk. We’ll discuss both the present and the past, and may explore your dreams and unconscious mind to uncover hidden truths.

This is a journey toward accessing more deeply what is going on inside you. The aim is to help you move towards a happier, more fulfilled place.

The relationship between client and therapist is unique and precious, and will always be respected. My causal style may put you at ease in sessions. My professionalism will keep you safe.

If you would like to discuss the idea of therapy a little further, simply contact me and we can speak in person, on the phone or via e-mail. Just one step at a time—no contract or long commitment required. Consider the prospect of psychotherapy and see what happens. You’re in control, always. Here’s to you!

Thank you for looking at my profile. You have taken the first step towards self-care, towards improving your mental, emotional, and spiritual self. Good for you!

A number of years ago I did same thing. My first step into the therapy world was as a client and it changed my life. I discovered how I related to the world and why. I already had a career, as a project coordinator, but I was drawn to the Centre for Training in Psychotherapy (CTP) in Toronto where I engaged in a six-year intensive program in psychodynamic psychotherapy. I wanted to sit in the other chair. I wanted to help others as I had been helped.

I have been practicing since 2015. I have since graduated and hold a diploma from CTP and am a member in good standing with the CRPO (the college that regulates the profession of psychotherapy in Ontario).

My backgrounds in early childhood education, social services, and project coordination have given me valuable experience working with people of all ages and varied backgrounds. I have worked with infants to seniors, new immigrants to settled Canadians, and community members to board members. I look forward to working with you, tailoring my resources to your needs.

I practice both virtually and in person. You are welcome to come in person to my office in Brampton or to meet via video from anywhere in Ontario.

I can be reached by email at zerminawynne@gmail.com or by phone at 416-578-0577. You can read more about me at https://www.psychologytoday.com/profile/294158.

Call or e-mail me with any questions, or to schedule a 20–40-minute consultation at no charge. The consultation helps you decide if we are the right fit for each other. You can tell me a bit about yourself and what you are looking for from therapy (if you know), and I will share more details about how I practice.

I look forward to sharing in your journey.

If you are interested in finding out more about me and how I practice please contact me by phone at 416-578-0577 or by e-mail at zerminawynne@gmail.com to set up a phone consultation at no charge.

No pressure. No contract. Allow the possibility.
